Our proposal tackles the problem

We put our efforts on developing and researching methods to dimension the emission of GHG and the offsetting process through the growth of trees in a tropical rainforest. So now we can offer those who have their GHG emission offset a good will and conscience symbol stood for by the RECYCLED CO2 LABEL. Therefore, our intention is to arrest the proportional emission calculated by the growing trees planted during the technical and educational restoration of tropical rainforest ecosystems evolving small farmers communities and by doing this help to bring back to life the local economy and the technical tradition and knowledge that's being lost in recent times.

In the last 5 years IPESA crew have been supporting and educating small farmers of southeastern Brazil to restore tropical forest according to the Brazilian land laws, and helping them to improve their agricultural methods in order to combine sustainable food and goods production with wild life restoration. Brazilian small farmers normally pass through hard time in terms of income and it's not rare to witness starvation cases. The situation drives them to cut forests until their surroundings become completely devastated. We believe and experienced the improvement brought in by the union of the conservation principles with the agroforestry techniques. We recently noticed that the same kind of work that we were already doing would achieve not only the goals that we were already looking for, but would also help to keep an enormous amount of GHG stabilized in the growing trees' wood and ultimately in the forest's soil.
